Slate Belt Design is a one-woman show. My name’s Jen Diaz. I’ve been doing Web design in various incarnations for the last ten years. After helping a friend build a site for her restaurant, I decided to take a swing at the freelance world.

By day, I’m a boring editor in a boring cubicle, where my coworkers and I trade such pleasantries as “Is it 5 o’clock yet?” and “Wanna make a Dunkin’ run before our next conference call?”

Once night falls, my secret identity appears. I put on my trench coat and dark glasses and build stylish Web sites while speaking in a fake Russian accent. I vant make your internet pretty, yes?

I’m into photography, and I read books about dragons. I have a passionate love for serial commas. My favorite color is blue, and I have very large feet. I am a cat lady, except I don’t crochet very well at all.
